AP Statistics

Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics is not a very good class. Trust me, as someone who does research and real statistics, this class is not in any way a productive or efficient use of your time. If you really want to learn stats, make your own course by supplementing the Khan Academy with some Youtube videos. Really, this class is a major bore that puts way too much emphasis on notation, drawing distribution curves perfectly, and knowing what each button is on the calculator (& at my school it wasn't an easy A either!).

But if my rant didn't dissuade you:
To understand the materials: my notes* (click link for pdf), **Khan Academy** (the best!) if that's your thing, I do not recommend getting a review book (although I'm told the Barrons is OK, eh review books eh).

To apply the knowledge: Do the old tests! Teach others! But mostly, do the homework it's really that simple. Most math textbooks have practice problems at the end of the reading section. We had used an old textbook from like 1998 that talked about VHS tape preference and how new and exciting the internet was...

Practice Tests: Collegeboard old tests, google "AP Stats Practice," ask your teacher?

Honestly though, tell Colleges you taught yourself Stats and use your time for something more productive like Graphic design or Ceramics or lunch. Happy distributing!
